This show can be likened to an adventure game on a game console. It starts out as a journey and as you progress, things become a bit more complicated that the previous levels. ‘Supernatural’ started out with the search for Sam and Dean’s father and from those simple beginnings, things evolved and the challenges became stronger and tougher and the stakes higher. But like any journey, they were still going in a particular direction. There was a sort of final destination in mind.

This is what Leviathan stood for of sorts; a final destination. It took them twenty one episodes of season 7 to come to a point where they understood something about how to deal with this larger than life nemesis. Any viewer would know that these creatures were bound to be defeated but they had been placed in such a pedestal that how that would even happen became a mystery. Fans got to know that they could be slowed down with the borax of beheading but there was really nothing yet that could kill them as such.

But it took three episodes to go before the writers started given both the brothers and fans some leeway into how they could be dealt with; they were to get the blood of the fallen. And just like the console game, they set out on another subset of adventure from last week to get these.

They got that of Castiel last episode and in this episode it was the Alpha Vampire. They need that of Crowley now before the weapon they can use to take these creatures out is ready and it looks like they would be getting that by the next episode. If there is anything to complain about this it is that after twenty something episodes of hyping up the Leviathan, they suddenly seem to be in a rush to have them eradicated in three episodes build to the last one.

It would have been nice if they had spaced this out a bit more like come to the discovery of the how during the middle of the season and take that long to get the blood of the fallen. Now to some fans, it actually makes the writers look as if they too just recently discovered what could destroy them!

But it does look like they would want to end the issue of Leviathan this season. This is the second to the last episode and it set the stage for a season finale that should be exciting to watch. The Alpha Vampire came back on screen to remind fans how terrible and formidable a foe he was when he first made an appearance. He was an enigma and arguably even scarier than the Leviathan because he was clearly seen and known. And to show that he was still as mean as ever, Leviathan made a deal with him but double-crossed him afterwards.

The appearance the Alpha Vampire seems to point to him playing a more visible role not just in the destruction of Leviathan but in the coming season. They were renewed, hooray! It was an interesting episode.

She had appeared in the April 27th show and played the role of a computer hacker.

Felicia also revealed that she had come to the show’s star casts earlier in the recent past, especially while at fan conventions but could not meet them.

Day said that she had come close to meeting the show’s stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki several times in the past, while appearing at fan conventions.

“Meeting them in person, I have to tell you, bowled me over because they are so manly,” she converyed.

“It was overwhelming because I’m not around a lot of jocks and guys’ guys. It was like walking into a romance novel a little bit. They have this crazy charisma.”

Day went on to discuss her character, who gives the episode ‘The Girl With the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo’ its title.

“She has all these amazing qualities that I haven’t seen put in one character before,” she enthused. “When I picked up the script, I was like, ‘I can’t wait to say all these words!’”

“She has a strength that grounds her that is unique for the characters I’ve played. I loved being able to find that.”

The story, until now, has never seemed that it is going to end sooner or later. Leviathan seems to be taking it easy, and going ahead with their plans to “eliminate the human race” with Sam, and Dean totally clueless regarding how to kill the creatures from the purgatory.

The episode greatly focused on the leviathan mythology, packed with lots of information; it seems that one will have to see it again and again just to register some of the elements of the mythology. It was a tough ask to concentrate and digest all the information that was provided.

Well, there clearly are many takers for the red clay tablet, which the brothers stole from Dick Roman. The Winchesters, also seem to be interested in it, ultimately it will help them to emerge victorious in the battle. From the look of it, the clay tablet seems to be more than a key or a backup plan to let loose the leviathans. It is quite amusing to see that the tablet was written by god’s P.A. Metatron, and it does actually have a plan to release the leviathans. It seems that we will get to know about the hidden powers that the clay tablet possesses in the near future (upcoming episodes).

Then, there is Misha Collins; he is back as the insane version of his previous angel character. There is a lot of pain and suffering in the character that is cleverly portrayed by the actor, as he seems to be happy outside and sad inside, a combination of emotions that can’t be easily portrayed. Bobby too, is back with a bang, and both Bobby and Castile make up for all the serious stuff we have been made to endure in the episode.

There is no obscurity in the fact that the ending episode will be a slugfest where we will see the angels, demons, leviathan and the superhero brothers battling it out to save the human race. Though, the result is on the cards, the only doubt that remains is what will be the buildup for the next season. Armed with the knowledge to kill Leviathan, the twins seem to be on the right track; the story is well poised for a roller-coaster ride. Let us hope that it doesn’t disappoint us.

They seemed to have vanquished their emulation in one of the recent episodes.

As per sources, the actors had some issues with their parts in the series as they considered those parts unmanly and not very comfortable. Ackles categorically marked that there was a particular line which made them feel very uncomfortable and was horrible. Collins agreed to that and mentioned that those lines were really difficult to say.

They explained that they did quite some brain storming for 60-90 minutes to figure out a better way of conveying the idea in the lines without having to upset anyone or feel uncomfortable about.

In the current week’s episode “Reading is Fundamental”, Collins will be repeating his part as Castiel one more time.

Dean and Sam must search for three key items in order to defeat Dick Roman and the Leviathans. Castiel helps them with one of the last objects while Crowley and an Alpha try to stop them. Meanwhile, Bobby tries out a new ghost power that ends up being very dangerous.

Meg summons Sam and Dean when Castiel wakes up. However, the brothers have other problems on their hands when they get word of a teenager who has been struck by lightning and become a prophet, and may hold the key to defeating the Leviathans.

He has been talking on the show’s season finale and was reported to have said that it was going to be full of rip roaring action. He the remainder of the season would be about resolving the issue with the Leviathans. When asked what his ghostly character would be doing he said it would also attempt to become reformed by fighting the urge to just come back to haunt and take vengeance on those who had him killed.

He said he was touched the way fans had reacted to the show when his character died. He said it was so touching that they showed such great affection to the character. But he said that he also knew that he was coming back but he did not know when or how. He went on to say he appreciated the loving feed back he got from this show saying it was something some actors have not gotten even though they have been working for decades.

Season 8 of the show is being muted and he said as much when he said that he was excited to have started work with the show runner in Jeremy Carver in what could potentially be a season 8 of the show. He said she hated seeing former show runner Sera Gamble go but Carver is a great guy and he would be looking forward to working with him if giving the chance.

The clip showed him teaching her how to flirt with guys. This clip is part of the episode that will be aired on the 27th of April. She will be playing Charlie a character who tried to seduce a security guard with the help from Dean who would be waking her through it with the use of an ear piece. Charlie’s supernatural alter ego and a person that is a super computer hacker who would help Sam and Dean track down the billionaire Dick Roman who is played by James Patrick Stewart.

The exec of the show Sera Gamble spoke on Day’s appearance in the show. She said that they were glad when she agreed to do the show because they were all fans of hers. When asked about the story she said it was a classic case of an ordinary person working in an organization who finds herself in a situation where she just has to be the whistleblower. The episode she will appear in is titled ‘The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo’.

The brothers get word that Dick Roman has obtained Frank’s hard drive and is using an unsuspecting hacker to decrypt it. While the Winchesters try to find her, Bobby tries to help them but finds himself giving in to his rage against the Leviathan CEO.

This show is now in its seventh season but there are lot of similarities between this season and the show’s premiere season. It follows the initial format it applied in season 1 by get a season long over arching story in one top villain that lasted through out that season. It then had some little side stories here and there that may or may not connect to the main story.

They had a focus on the main story but here and there were demons, ghost and vampires to be dealt with. This was why the main villain in Azazel that yellow eyed monster was only seen in snippets all through the first season but its first full appearance came in season 2.

This seems to be what is happening with season 7 especially when coupled with the previous season as they seem to be one main story expanding over the two seasons with various other small stories that keeps them busy and adds variety to what the fans are viewing. In another light this was what happened in season 5 when it was about angels and demons. The story of Leviathan fits the bill of one that will end this season. It is either that or it continues into another season of the show.

There is something about Leviathan that may not have really settled well with fans. They do not look as formidable or invincible as the writers want them to be. There could be an explanation for this but it really has to make sense for fans to buy into it.

The beast did not make an appearance in this episode. What the episode did give to fans was to showcase Sam and Dean doing what they just know how to do best; just going about hunting ghosts, vampires and all the creatures of the underworld they deal with. This is basically what the whole point of the show is directed at and this is by far the best thing they know how to do as the writers are innovative enough to know how always make the stories refreshing.

Take Bobby who came back to help them but as a ghost. The way he was portrayed like having difficulty communicating with them and degrading in visage by the day gave a new perspective to the typical idea of ghost Hollywood would make all believe exists. And as for him being back, it was great that the guys did not really feel so enthusiastic about it. They were more inclined in having closure and him moving on and being remembered as a friend whom they loved than sticking around as a ghost.

The episode was altogether well delivered and indeed a refreshing one.
